Department of Family and Preventive Medicine

Program Information

Residents, faculty, and staff serve the urban and suburban populations of metro-Atlanta. Each year, our program accepts 10 PGY-1/incoming residents. Our sponsoring hospital is Emory University Hospital Midtown.

Our primary training site is the Emory Family Medicine Clinic in Dunwoody, GA. The Clinic was awarded PCMH Level III recognition by the National Commission on Quality Assurance.

Residents complete their continuity clinics, didactics, and procedure clinics at the Dunwoody clinic but also rotate out through the community and surrounding medical centers to achieve their training.

The LaHouse Residency Fund

The LaHouse Residency Fund fund supports one three-year trainee in family medicine. Family medicine physicians are needed to ensure that all Georgians have affordable access to primary care that is patient-centered and focused on preventing disease.
