Family Medicine Resident, Class of 2016
Emory Family Medicine Residency Program
Emory Family Medicine Center
4500 North Shallowford Rd.

Dr. Siddiqui grew up in Omaha, Nebraska and spent most of his formative years in Fredonia, N.Y, which is located in the upstate region. He completed his medical school training at the State University of New York. He knew early in medical school that Family Medicine was the only medical specialty he was interested in because he felt this specialty best suited his personality. Although earlier in his education he considered becoming a science teacher or writer, his interest in Holistic medicine, Global and Public Health and Wilderness Medicine became the priority in his career path. With so many interests, he was unsure of what his niche in Family Medicine might be, but he wanted to better understand the impact of culture on illness. He felt that there would be no better way to prepare than in Atlanta given the diverse population, and flexibility that the Emory Family Medicine Residency Program allows. He chose Emory because he felt there were unlimited choices and opportunities to explore.
In his little spare time he loves to play basketball, read books, listen to music, dance, and just pontificate on the abstract. In addition to English. Dr. Siddiqui speaks Urdu and "Spanglish". He hopes to become fluent in Spanish.
