Dr. Wilson grew up in Bakersville, North Carolina. He received his medical degree from The Brody School of Medicine at the East Carolina Medical College and earned a master of public health degree from East Carolina.
Dr. Wilson's areas of clinical interest include Women's Health, acute care, inpatient and outpatient medicine. His personal interests include football, golf, watching and playing sports, and time with his family. He is a St. Louis Cardinals fan. For fun, when he has the time, he enjoys time with his family, playing golf, and watching the St. Louis Cardinals games.
When asked why he chose the Emory Family Medicine Residency Program, he stated that he and his wife wanted to be in a place that offered public health opportunities and the ability to train in an academic hospital setting. When asked what he might have chosen as a career, if not a physician, he stated he would be a sports coach.
In addition to English, he speaks a little Spanish.
