LIGHT-photo.png

Our research focuses on cardiovascular diseases and dementia prevention, investigating the mechanisms of behavioral and lifestyle interventions to improve heart and brain health. We are piloting targeted interventions to understand the role of psychosocial factors, health disparities, and preclinical biomarkers in this area. Our group is multidisciplinary, with experts in behavioral health, geriatrics, neuroscience, primary care and public health.  Besides research, our group is also involved in quality improvement and community education on cardiovascular and dementia risk factors, and prevention in Georgia.

Learn more about how brain health is connected to heart health here.

We are currently recruiting for our LIGHT- Mild Cognitive Impairment Study and Diabetes Study. For more information please contact Jannat Saini at emoryfpm@gmail.com or 470-558-5144.
